  • Impact Analytics Fellow As an Impact Analytics Fellow, your role will be to perform advanced portfolio analysis that supports Root Capital’s strategy internally and its communications externally. You will mine Root Capital’s extensive database of financial, social, and environmental metrics from our 600+ borrowers over the past 20 years, to answer such questions as: What is the expected future business growth, impact, and profitability to Root Capital of a typical cohort of first-time borrowers? What are the observable predictors of future business growth and how can Root Capital use them to inform our lending decisions? To what extent have Root Capital’s clients subsequently been able to access commercial finance following support from Root Capital? What is the expected impact on farmer livelihoods of a dollar of grant funding to Root Capital?

  • Investor Relations Associate – Institutional Grants Root Capital seeks a driven and detail-oriented individual focused on stewarding relationships with leading foundations and public sector donors. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and apply critical thinking and communications skills to convey the impacts of Root Capital's work around the globe. Success in this position requires a passion for communicating with external stakeholders both verbally and in writing and a savviness for managing data and details while linking to the bigger picture. You will be primarily responsible for crafting grant reports that synthesize and communicate the results and impacts of Root Capital's work to major funders. You will also have opportunities to lead the development of grant proposals for mid-level funders. You will work closely with the executive leadership team to develop effective cultivation and stewardship strategies for current and prospective funders. You will have opportunities to develop a strategy for identifying new funders to Root Capital and oversee and improve the team's operational systems and processes.

  • Credit Analyst, Senegal The Credit/Financial Analyst supports the growth and quality of Root Capital’s credit portfolio in West Africa by conducting financial and credit analysis of loan applications from rural small and medium enterprises (SMEs). S/he will also monitor the quality of outstanding loans. This position will work closely with the Portfolio Manager for Francophone countries in West Africa. This position is based in Dakar, Senegal, with travel to other West African countries.
