	Charity Navigator 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 Root Capital has once again earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for its ability to efficiently manage and grow its finances. Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities, deemed Root Capital “exceptional” in its efforts to operate in a fiscally responsible manner. Only 8% of the charities rated have received at least four consecutive 4-star evaluations.
	Financial Times and IFC Achievement in Banking at the Bottom of the Pyramid June 2009 The Financial Times and IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, announced Root Capital as the recipient of its Achievement in Banking at the Bottom of the Pyramid Award. The award recognizes ground-breaking financial transactions and initiatives that address the Bottom or Base of the Pyramid (BoP), the more than 4 billion people who live on less than US$2 a day.
	SVN Innovation Award October 2008 Root Capital Founder and President William Foote received Social Venture Network's 2008 Social Innovation Award. The awards support the "next generation" of socially responsible business and nonprofit leaders by providing them access to the people and resources that can help support the growth and success of their enterprises.
	Clinton Global Initiative September 2008 Root Capital was recognized multiple times at the 2008 Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting. The three-day conference convenes global leaders to devise innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges. Nearly 60 current and former heads of state, five Nobel Peace Prize recipients, and hundreds of international CEOs, non-profit leaders, and major philanthropists were in attendance.
	Young Global Leader March 2008 The World Economic Forum announced that Root Capital Founder and President William Foote has been selected as a Young Global Leader 2008. This honor is awarded annually to recognize and acknowledge the top 200-300 young leaders from around the world for their professional accomplishments, commitment to society, and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world.
	Social Capitalist January 2006, 2007, 2008 Fast Company magazine and Monitor Group recently named Root Capital a Social Capitalist Award winner for the third year in a row. The Social Capitalist Awards are given to non-profits “who use the tools of business to solve the world's most pressing social problems and who have demonstrated a consistent and unusually large impact on society.”
	Ashoka Fellowship August 2007 Root Capital Founder and President William Foote was recently named an Ashoka Global Fellow. Ashoka Fellows are chosen for their innovative solutions to some of society’s most pressing social problems.
	Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship Skoll Foundation 2005 - 2008 Root Capital is a recipient of the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship. The award recognizes and supports social entrepreneurs whose work has the potential for large-scale influence on critical challenges of our time.
