Root Capital is a nonprofit social investment fund that grows rural prosperity in poor, environmentally vulnerable places in Africa and Latin America by lending capital, delivering financial training, and strengthening market connections for small and growing agricultural businesses.

Monica coordinates daily operations of Root Capital’s Cambridge office, supports internal communication activities among our global offices, and provides administrative support to the human resources team. Prior to joining Root

Monica coordinates daily operations of Root Capital’s Cambridge office, supports internal communication activities among our global offices, and provides administrative support to the human resources team. Prior to joining Root Capital, Monica interned for a humanitarian NGO in New York City, International Rescue Committee, as part of their Case Management team, at Paladin Realty Partners, LLC, in London, as a market research analyst focusing on development opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa, and served as a media research intern for a  PR firm in the Greater Boston Area. She holds a B.A. in Communication and International Studies, from Stonehill College.
